Quality Management Program

HIVQUAL-US emphasizes sustainability through development of quality management program infrastructure at the facility level to support quality management activities.

Education and training activities incorporate elements of infrastructure into basic quality management methodology training. Materials have been designed to guide providers in the development of practical strategies to develop their own systems for quality management.

The HIVQUAL Organizational Assessment Tool:
The HIVQUAL Organizational Assessment Tool is used by HIVQUAL coaches and consultants to objectively assess the quality infrastructure in HIV clinics, and to target areas for development and improvement. Explicit scoring criteria have been developed for the tool, which can also be used for self-assessment by the facility.
