HIVQUAL in Kenya![]() With an estimated 1.3 million of its citizens living with HIV/AIDS, ART is now available to more than 150,000 of the approximately 275,000 Kenyans eligible to receive treatment. In the contxt of ongoing ART rollout and the large human resources challenges faced by the country's health system, the quality of HIV care is a major priority in Kenya. In 2008, discussions began between the HIVQUAL International team and CDC-Kenya to introduce HIVQUAL in Kenya. Linkages are also being made with the nearby HIVQUAL-Uganda team to provide coaching and mentoring as HIVQUAL-Kenya gets its start. Kenya: Country Background
