HIVQUAL-Mozambique Program Background
HIVQUAL Mozambique is implemented through a partnership of the Ministry of Health, JHPIEGO, and a group of clinical partners. The program is implemented at 88 clinics, with planned expansion to most clinics providing ART, and includes adult and pediatric HIV and PMTCT. The Mozambique project has adapted a Portuguese version of the HIVQUAL software.

Home to more than 20 million people, Mozambique is located in southern Africa. It is estimated that more than 1 million people are infected with HIV. Thanks to increased funding through PEPFAR and other agencies, antiretroviral rollout has resulted in an estimated 121,379 people receiving ARV treatment as of October 2008.
